First entry in this new journal Gran just gave me.

I'm just a bit nervous about going back to Hogwarts this year (of course, I am every year...).

I've got a bit of a crush on Ashe (oh I do hope she never gets hold of this).

I haven't told anybody, especially not Ron (his reaction to me attending Yule Ball with Ginny was bad enough), he's got a thing for her too.

Trevor's been acting very strangely lately. I'm not sure why.

The worst thing about going back to Hogwarts is that I have Potions with professor Snape. Hermione helps me, of course, but I still mess up something awful.

It'll be nice to see everyone else though (and get away from Gran's incessant nagging). Ashe sent me an owl a few days ago; they're looking for Quidditch players for the Gryffindor team. She thinks I should try out; I think she needs her head examined.

I've got to go; Gran's calling me.
